The old royal stud-farm of Alter (Coudelaria de Alter) was founded by King João V in 1748, and since then it never ceased to be a national reference in horse breeding. Estremoz and Evoramonte are two beautiful examples of Alentejo villages, full of links to the history of Portugal.

Évora keeps its medieval characteristics inside of the wall, being for that classified by UNESCO as World Heritage Site. Marvão – the «Eagles’ Nest» – impresses with the architectural beauty and the landscape that can be seen.
